Biography

Samiksha Das is currently an Assistant Lecturer at the Jindal Institute of Behavioral Sciences. She  holds two M.Phil. degrees- one in Psychology (with specialization in Health) and the other in Forensic Psychology. She has co-authored a forthcoming book on Forensics, currently under  review by the National Human Rights Commission. In addition, she has contributed to a nationallevel project funded by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D) and executed by  the Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Gurugram. She has qualified F-PACT Certification (Forensic Psychology) in 2022 under Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.

Her research interests span a broad range within Forensic Psychology, including Forensic  Investigative Tools such as Brain Electrical Oscillation Signature Profiling (BEOSP), Polygraph,  Layered Voice Analysis (LVA), Suspect Detection System (SDS), Electroencephalography  (EEG), Eye Tracking and Facial Expression Analysis. She also focuses on areas such as False  Memory, Reliability of Eyewitness Testimony and Identification, Micro-expression and deception detection. Within Health Psychology, her work explores emotional regulation, self-regulation,  learning styles, management of surgical stress, and coping mechanisms. Currently, she is  expanding her research into the evolving field of Cyber Psychology. She has published her  research in peer-reviewed national and international journals of repute and has presented them at  several recognized national and international conferences.
