Biography

Smarnika Srivastava is an Assistant Professor of Law and Assistant Dean (Office of International Collaborations) at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University. She specialises in Intellectual Property Law, focusing on its intersection with digital law to address evolving legal challenges amid rapid technological change. Her research aims to develop actionable insights and frameworks that enhance the role of IP in digital transformation, balancing the interests of rights holders, creators, and innovators with public access, user rights, and platform responsibilities in the digital age. She holds a BA.LL.B. (Hons.) degree from O.P. Jindal Global University and an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from King’s College, London. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Monash University, Australia, where her research focuses on image rights and privacy in the digital universe.
