Saakshi Yadav is an Advocate with license to practice in India. She holds an LL.M. in International Maritime Law from the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Law, Swansea University, where she graduated with Merit. Her academic works examine shipowner and bareboat charterer liability in grounding incidents and the scope of cyber risk insurance in the contemporary maritime sector. During the programme, she engaged with professionals from the UK P&I Club, GARD, the International Maritime Organization, and the London P&I Club through live case simulations involving claims handling, preparation of P&I correspondence, and time-sensitive strategic decision-making. She has also completed specialised training in ESG policy and regulation for maritime decarbonisation.
She completed her LL.B. from Law Centre II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi, and was involved in legal aid and public legal education initiatives as a Paralegal Volunteer with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority. She also holds a B.A. (Honours) in Economics from Ambedkar University Delhi.
Her professional experience includes litigation practice as a Legal Associate with ACM Legal, Advocates, New Delhi, where she worked on commercial and arbitration disputes, insurance recovery, service and armed forces matters, and regulatory litigation involving public sector undertakings. She has also been engaged in legislative research and policy drafting through parliamentary research work, contributing to drafting of legislative material across sectors such as maritime affairs, defence, labour, environment, and social justice.
She has international editorial experience with Thomson Reuters as an Editorial Associate in the Practical Law UK team, working within the UK common law framework across areas including maritime law, contract law, trade regulation, and dispute resolution. She has also served as a judge at the Children’s Rights Moot Court Competition organised by Baker McKenzie in collaboration with Leiden Law School.
