Biography

Amartya Kanjilal completed his law degree from the Campus Law Centre at the University of Delhi. He holds an LLM from the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, as a Fulbright-Nehru fellow. He also received the International and Comparative Law scholarship at University of Michigan. He has litigation experience in several courts in Delhi, and has represented death sentenced prisoners at Project 39A, National Law University Delhi. His research interests lie in criminal law reform, penology, constitutional law, gender and legal histories.
