This paper synthesizes and critically examines how marketing scholarship has engaged with Indigenous knowledge systems and worldviews. Drawing from a systematic literature review, it explores the intersections between Indigenous aspects—such as products, people, processes, and culture—and marketing, identifying major thematic clusters. The study highlights the gaps and opportunities in integrating Indigenous perspectives into mainstream marketing, emphasizing responsible innovation, market shaping, and social–ecological resilience. It also proposes a conceptual framework illustrating how Indigenous knowledge can enrich marketing theory and practice to promote more inclusive, regenerative, and culturally grounded market systems.
