I really like the BFA program at OP Jindal Global University being the only program in India to integrate the study of fine arts with liberal arts education. The university being located near Delhi, a hub of art galleries and museums, offers a lot of exposure and we get to visit these venues as part of the field trips. The best part of the program is to get inspiration from the Professors.
I am really glad to be a part of the program. It's a wonderful journey with my peer group to work, push and support eacho ther'sset of skills and practices.
The best part of the program for me is the studios and the access to various kinds of materials. The faculty provide technical guidance as to how to use the equipment and machinery.
Being in the second year, I love my Installation classes the most. It triggers my creative impulses to explore how to materialize an idea and give it a form.
The BFA program at OP Jindal Global University offers a very strong set of skills while incorporating art history and theory. We learn how to make a proper drawing rather than “perfect” drawing.
I have realized in my first few months that I have unlearnt a lot of things.
Pottery and sculpture is my favorite. I was always interested in painting and drawing but exploring 3D mediums using various materials like clay, cement, wire and papier‐mâché, I developed a taste for these mediums, most of all for traditional techniques of making papier‐mâché.
