Access to justice is an extremely important aspiration for millions of impoverished, marginalized and dispossessed people, who are unable to make their ends meet. The Supreme Court of India crafted the Public Interest Litigation through judicial creativity. In this context, legal aid provides an important strategy to help the have nots. University-based Legal Aid Clinics have a critical role to play in making access to justice a reality. The passion and idealism of youth involved in legal aid efforts would prove useful to society and to the student community. It is important to remember that each case that you take up is a tale of human suffering and violation of rights and any remedial action that you take will lead to satisfaction I wish JGU Legal Aid Clinic every success in its efforts.
