We now have about 2,000 students who have happily graduated from O.P. Jindal Global University. These graduates are successfully employed, or have ventured into starting their own practice or business, or have accepted admission for higher studies in leading universities abroad. Within a short period of 6 years since our first batch of graduates emerged successfully in 2012, it is pleasing to see some of them doing amazingly well. I am confident that others will catch up soon.
I am grateful to the Vice Chancellor for inviting me to head the Alumni Relations Office, and would formally like to say “hello” to all our alumni. I have tried to get in touch with all of them by email recently, and some have responded almost immediately. My thanks to those who have responded so very promptly.
This brief message is to reiterate the University’s intention to strengthen alumni relations, with a robust programme of activities and events on a continuing basis, and by promoting two-way communication. It is pleasing to note that a number of members of the alumni have expressed keen interest to participate and help.
Major events planned during the current academic year 2018-19, include the JGU 10th Anniversary Alumni Meet in early 2019, various other alumni meets in major cities in India, and the publication of an Alumni Newsletter.
The Alumni Relations Office works closely with Deans of Schools and faculty members, and the Office of Career Services.
Members of the alumni are most welcome to contact me directly with any proposals or suggestions, to strengthen alumni relations. Please visit the Alumni Network Portal from time to time at https://alumni.jgu.edu.in/.
