Sixth JGU school launched

JGU marked a new milestone with the launch of its sixth school, the Jindal School of Journalism and Communication (JSJC), on December 22, 2016. The School was inaugurated by senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai and a distinguished panel at a ceremony held at the India International Centre in New Delhi. The panel included Professor Tom Goldstein, Dean Emeritus, Graduate School of Journalism, University of California, Berkeley, and Former Dean, Columbia Journalism School, Dr. (Mrs.) Pankaj Mittal, Additional Secretary, University Grants Commission, and Professor Peter H. Schuck, Simeon E. Baldwin Professor of Law Emeritus, Yale University and Chair, International Board of Advisors, JGU.

JSJC will begin offering the three-year full-time B.A. (Hons.) in Media & Communication programme from the Fall (August) 2017 semester. The undergraduate programme will train students to hone their journalistic and communication skills as reporters, editors, web editors, TV producers and anchors.
